I have had the privilege of founding and building 2 new gaming studios in London; Microsoft’s Lift London and start-up RedSix Interactive Entertainment. RedSix was an independent games development studio located in London creating high quality F2P and VR mobile and tablet games. Crafting great characters and amazing universes were key pillars of the studio.
I was also the Studio Director and founding director at Microsoft’s Lift London Studio. The team set the studio up to fully embrace Games as a Service with a full services, marketing, legal, finance, product development, incubation and game development team. The studio was committed to entertainment as a service across multiple platforms, including: PC, Console, Tablet & Mobile, Hololens and incubation.
Founder of 2 London Studio's
When I was Studio Director at Lift London we were 70 extremely talented people. Lift had a Hololens team, a new devices incubation team, gaming team, online services team, marketing team, business team and we also housed a indie developer. I was responsible for studio logistics, culture, OPEX , gaming product and strategy.
RedSix was a small independent games development team. My focus was on the operations of the business and its investment strategy. RedSix achieved valuations of $7m and $14m for its AAA mobile F2P game. As a small studio I wore hats, UI artist, 2D&3D artist, producer, designer and CEO. Our first game Coin-Op Heroes 2 reached #2 in the Apple RPG charts, it was created in 10 weeks by the 3 founders. The VR concept for GearVR Icarus76 also received critical acclaim.
