The Getaway was the first game to not use an in game HUD, instead using visual cues in the game. The Getaway also won the BAFTA for technical achievement, having accurately recreated large portions of London which required no loading screens as the player drove across the map. My role was as one of two vehicle artist. As vehicle artist my responsibilities included the creation of over 50 real world cars and working with car manufactures to secure licenses and material to use in the modelling and texturing of the vehicles.
